Driven by the need to enhance communications with the Ofgem Glasgow office and external parties, Ofgem intends to extend its current internal Video Conferencing capability with the implementation of a solution in the Main Boardroom at Millbank. Ofgem seeks quotes for solution design, equipment and installation of appropriate Video Conferencing (VC) equipment.

 

The new system must be able interconnect to all Ofgem’s existing Polycom and Tandberg VC equipment.

Ofgem runs a Cisco Telepresence Management Suite (TMS) system for VC management and reporting purposes.

 

VC traffic is routed over Ofgem’s WAN for all Millbank-Glasgow video conferences.

 

Video Conferences to external parties with an external IP address connect via Ogem’s internet link. External perties without an external IP address connect via a third party bridging service, as Ofgem has no ISDN lines.

 

- Requirement

 

Tenderers are invited to quote on a Video Conferencing solution for the Ofgem Boardroom at 9 Millbank, London.

 

The boardroom measures 10.4m x 6.2m and a scale drawing is attached.

 

The solution must take into account the layout and physical attributes of the room.
