Description of the goods or services required

This commission is part of a bigger project to raise the profile of South East Wales as a high quality food tourism destination and enable partners to communicate the region’s local food offer more effectively online. Specifically this commission involves:

• Production of 11 new pieces of bilingual digital video content to link with Wales’ 2016 Year of Adventure and target Visit Wales’ target markets and independent explorer segments

• Social media tiles / supporting social media copy for video distribution, encouragement of shares etc

• Uploading of new video content to YouTube

The aim of the videos is to promote the range of local food & drink experiences on offer across the region, to provide tips and opportunities for encouraging visits and exploration, and to communicate a spirit of adventure in key markets and segments (as per Visit Wales 2016 Year of Adventure campaign).

This is a collaborative project involving nine local authorities* in South East Wales working together to maximise the potential of food tourism across the region and drive tourism growth. The project is financially supported by Welsh Government via their Partnership for Growth Fund (P4G) 2015/2016 https://business.wales.gov.uk/dmwales/support/partnership-growth-fund-p4g with participating Local Authorities providing match funding.

*Participating Local Authorities (LAs) include: Bridgend, Caerphilly, Cardiff, Monmouthshire, Merthyr Tydfil, Newport, Rhondda Cynon Taff, Torfaen and Vale of Glamorgan.
