Should the outcome of the Authority’s independent haulage tendering exercise for Service Lots 1 to 4 prove that an independent haulier meets the conditions in Section 1.22.1 of ITT, then Service Lots 1 to 4 will be awarded to an independent haulier, otherwise all Service Lots 1 to 5 will be awarded to the preferred bidder for Service Lot 5.

Devon Authorities include the following Councils which will participate in the contract from its Service Commencement Date of 1.4.2019: Exeter City, East Devon, Mid-Devon, North Devon and Teignbridge,

— Service Lots 2: is for the haulage of contract waste from the South Hams District Council. This Council might join the contract during its term and therefore this service lot is “Provisional”,

— Service Lots 4: is for the haulage of contract waste from West Devon Borough Council. This Council might join the contract during its term and therefore this service lot is “Provisional”,

Once the preferred bidder for Service Lot 5 is identified, DCC will undertake an independent tendering exercise for Service lots 1 to 4 offering these to a wider haulage market. Should the outcome of the Authority’s independent haulage tendering exercise for Service Lots 1 to 4 prove that an independent haulier provides a more economically advantageous tender, then Service Lots 1 to 4 will be awarded to an independent haulier, otherwise all Service Lots 1 to 5 will be awarded to the preferred bidder for Service Lot 5.
