Places for People is seeking expressions of interest from suitably resourced and experienced service providers for the risk assessment, water monitoring services and analytical services. Service providers are invited to submit tenders to be appointed to a four year framework for the supply of water hygiene service to include monitoring, inspection and maintenance of water systems including water temperature controls for a range of Places for People properties, offices and leisure facilities in accordance with the requirements set out in the HSE’s Approved Code Of Practice (ACOP) L8 ‘Legionnaires Disease; the control of Legionella bacteria in water systems, HSG 274 Part 2’ and all other relevant guidance and British Standards.

II.2.1)Total quantity or scope:

Places for People is seeking to establish a framework of providers of water hygiene services. It is envisaged that Places for People Group companies will use this framework to let company specific contracts for water hygiene services including risk assessments, sampling and analysis. Places for People make no representation and warranty to the value of call off contracts arising from the framework.
The Contracting Authority requires service providers to have the capacity to provide their services across the full geographical area for the Lot(s) that they are applying.
There are 3 Lots. Lot 1 is for Residential and Commercial Properties- Scotland, Lot 2 is for Residential and Commercial Properties- England and Lot 3 is for Leisure Centres
Under the framework, the suppliers and its supply chain will be required to actively participate in the achievement of social and/or environmental policy objectives for example, relating to recruitment and training. Accordingly the contract conditions may relate in particular to social and environmental considerations to be detailed in the contract documents. The length of the framework agreement is four years, during which call of contracts can be issued. Spend has been indicated as ranging from GBP 500 000 — GBP 750 000 per annum and calculated over the four year framework to be GBP 2 000 000 — GBP 3 000 000.
It is envisaged that Lot 1 annual value would potentially be in the region of 100 000 GBP Lot 2 annual value would potentially be in the region of 500 000 GBP for Property Services Client inc Cotman and the Commercial Offices with a further up to 100 000 GBP should RMG contract under this agreement. Lot 3 annual value would also be in the region of 100 000 GBP.

This has the potential to include in excess of 100 leisure centres managed by Places for People Leisure once their current contract expires.
