East and West Dunbartonshire Councils require the services of a competent contractor to facilitate water quality management in line with legislative compliance guidance document ACOP L8.
The service provider shall carry out Legionella Risk Assessments and Written Schemes for controlling risk, as per HSE ACOP L8, in conjunction with the BS 8580 (2010) — Risk Assessments for Legionella Control, or any superseding codes of practice.
This will include but is not exhaustive to:
Compliance Checks — Monthly, Six Monthly, and Annual Checks to properties detailed.
Risk Assessments when required.
Reactive treatment when required, which may include issue identification, tank cleaning, chlorination and flushing systems, testing etc.

West Dunbartonshire Council is acting as the lead authority for this procurement on behalf of East Dunbartonshire Council (EDC) and West Dunbartonshire Council (WDC). The two Councils require the services of a competent contractor to facilitate water quality management in line with legislative compliance guidance document of Health and Safety Executive (HSE) Approved Code of Practice for the Control of Legionella (ACOP L8).
This tender exercise will identify a preferred single service provider which each Council will enter into separate SBCC Minor Works Building Contract for use in Scotland (Nov 2011).
