Title

Modernising Nursing in the Community Website – an Evaluation

2.2

Description of the goods or services required

In 2011 NES was commissioned by Scottish Government to develop an on-line resource which was launched in January 2012. The website is targeted at NHS Boards, community nursing managers and community nurses to aid in service redesign or quality improvement within the setting of community partnerships. The website is a repository of resources, links to other websites and provides contacts and relevant information on using the agreed modernisation framework of twelve elements. The successful provider will consult with community nurses and their managers, across NHS Scotland. Although we are flexible regarding the method chosen to undertake the evaluation, it is anticipated that various approaches will need to be adopted to accommodate depth and breadth of responses. For example: facilitated small group discussion, and telephone interviews. NB a number of questionnaires have now been used to evaluate this website and perhaps this may not be the best method for future data collection.
