The 3 Tayside Councils, Angus Council, Dundee City Council and Perth & Kinross Council have a requirement to renew their contract for the Installation, support and maintenance of their respective Wireless Network Infrastructures.
Each of the Councils operates Wireless Point-to-Point and Point to Multi-Point systems from several manufacturers to provide radio data communications to a number of schools and buildings housing Council staff. The wireless links represent a key part of the Council’s networking infrastructure therefore the Purchasers are looking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced contractor who is fully equipped to ensure minimal downtime due to either hardware failure, alignment issues or otherwise to the links.
It is proposed to put in place a contract for Wireless WAN Equipment, Installation, Support & Maintenance to include:
Surveys for new wireless radio point to point or point to multi point links.
Equipment for new wireless radio point to point or point to multi point links.
Installation of new wireless radio point to point or point to multi point links.
Maintenance of existing Wireless radio links and new links purchased through the contract.
