All 4 000 properties on the FCO overseas estate require an electrical inspection at least once every 5 years. The inspections are scheduled on a 5 year rolling programme. Each year, approximately 800 properties (1/5 of the estate) are inspected, properties are grouped in to geographical regional packages. The requirement is to establish regional framework agreements for competent, accredited contractors to deliver periodic electrical inspections and testing and essential safety works on a worldwide basis for the next 4 years.

6 Regional Framework agreements for Electrical testing and inspection to cover the worldwide FCO overseas estate. Agreements will 4 years. The value below is the estimated full 4 year value (not annual value) for all packages worldwide in UK pounds sterling (GBP). It is intended to appoint multiple contractors to each regional framework agreement. The contractor shall also complete specific quick-win high priority remedial works during the course of the inspections. The time taken to complete such works will be negligible and will therefore not impact on the time needed for each inspection.
