The Service will also support the Authority in its aspiration to Co-produce the future commissioning and procurement of services for Young People by enabling them to work in reciprocal relationships where there are mutual responsibilities and expectations.
1.2 Strategic Objectives.
The Service Provider will:
— Encouraging the involvement of Young People in the development of services and their Communities by rewarding them for the positive contributions they make;
— Contribute to the development of vibrant and sustainable local Communities by supporting Young People to obtain the skills and experiences they need to make the successful transition into adulthood;
— Improve relationships between Young People in their local Communities, by supporting them to identify their Assets and enabling them to utilise these to become active and positive participants in their local communities;
— Enable Young People to achieve improved individual outcomes by developing their personal resources and functioning skills;
— Work alongside Council commissioned Community Development service to reward Young People for their positive contribution to creating new, community based services, activities and other opportunities;
— Utilise proactive and effective partnership working to build community capacity; engaging Young People, other individuals, local Communities and local and national organisations to proactively contribute to vibrant and sustainable local Communities;
— Equip Young People with the skills and experiences to facilitate the development of their own Communities in future;
— Ensure Young People are a fundamental part of the design, delivery and evaluation of the Service, building on their identified Assets and developing new ones.
Additionally the Service will support the Authority and its strategic partners in achieving a more sustainable Cornwall by:
— Engaging with our local Communities;
— Improving proactive and effective partnership working;
— Finding solutions to improve health and wellbeing.
