Section II: Object of the contract
The University has a Cisco Call Manager 8.5 Voice IP telephone system which again has been installed in a resilient manner.
The University is looking to build on both of these to develop a more resilient voice service utilising a combination of local ISDN30 connections, and SIP over the Janet connections.
The University will also seek improved call tariffs, and if possible, zero rated calls to AU mobile estate.
64210000
An acceptance and testing plan will be agreed with the successful supplier prior to installation.
Phase 1a will be used initially for a selection of outgoing calls and incoming calls, for example, to mobiles and certain destinations.
A review will then be undertaken with the objective of increasing the number of SIP channels and migrating the University’s DDI range to the SIP provider.
The proposed migration would then be as follows:
Phase 1b Incoming/Outgoing – 8400 – 8799 DDI range, maintaining caller line ID for outward bound calls.
Phase 2 Incoming/Outgoing – 3000 – 3249 DDI range, maintaining caller line ID for outward bound calls. This will include ISDN circuit re-provision and contract (ISDN30 – 8 channel).
Phase 3 Incoming/Outgoing – 1500 – 2999 DDI range, maintaining caller line ID for outward bound calls.
This will include ISDN circuit re-provision and contract (ISDN30 – 8 channel), and all remaining AU owned PSTN lines, subject to current contract length and services provided on these lines.
Estimated value excluding VAT:
Range: between 150 000 and 200 000 GBP
