- The Cheshire Drug Partnership is considering funding abstinent Recovery accommodation in two areas in the North and South of Cheshire East borough area to support individuals who have recently become abstinent from their drug dependency, either following a community or inpatient detoxification programme or a residential rehabilitation pathway. It is envisaged that the Recovery Houses will be a key element in the successful abstinent housing provision which will be essential to the Cheshire recovery orientated integrated system.
The Recovery accommodation provision will work in partnership with a range of other drug and alcohol treatment providers across National Treatment Agency Models of Care Tiers 2, 3 and 4 provision. The Service will need to work with partner agencies such as Cheshire Police, Cheshire Probation Trust, Cheshire East Local Authority and Primary Care Trust.
Funding for the post will be provided for 12 months starting in September 2012. Future funding for the post will be explored through a larger commissioning exercise across Cheshire.
Additional funding outside of the contract price is available to furnish the properties.
