The Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) programme aims to increase the availability of National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) recommended psychological treatments for depression and anxiety disorders within NHS commissioned services in England. IAPT offers a realistic and routine first-line treatment, combined where appropriate with medication. Delivery of IAPT is fundamental to the successful implementation of the national mental health strategy, No health without mental health. This strategy, aims to:
— Improve the mental health and wellbeing of the population and keep people well.
— Improve outcomes for people with mental health problems through high-quality services that are equally accessible to all.
In addition, The Primary Care Mental Health Facilitator service supports implementation and success of the national mental health strategy, No health without mental health, which aims to:
— Improve the mental health and wellbeing of the population and keep people well
— Improve outcomes for people with mental health problems through high-quality services that are equally accessible to all.
It is the intention of LC CCG to enter into 1 contract for this service. However, consortium / partnership proposals for the 5 + 2 year contract would be welcomed and considered.
The Invitation to Tender (ITT) documentation will be available from 15.6.2015 and should be completed and all bids submitted by the closing date of 17:00 on 10.8.2015.
All submissions will be evaluated using the scoring criteria which is contained within the ITT -Document 1.
Clarifications may be asked during the procurement process, the deadline for clarification questions is 17:00 on 3.8.2015.
