The London Borough of Tower Hamlets (LBTH) is seeking expressions of interest from interested organisations for the above services.

Description:
The London Borough of Tower Hamlets seeks to commission a prime  provider to deliver a high quality diagnostic and intervention service for high functioning adults (aged 18 years and over) with suspected Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in Tower Hamlets.

The service will deliver a clear and dedicated diagnostic pathway for adults with suspected ASD, and is also designed to facilitate local compliance with requirements of the Autism Act 2009.

Key components of the service to be delivered include:

•           A core diagnostic team to provide assessment of adults with suspected ASD in Tower Hamlets, which uses best clinical practice and in line with NICE Clinical Guidance 142 for care of adults with autism.
•           Providing a post diagnostic brief intervention programme to adults with ASD (high functioning) utilising techniques to improve general well-being (i.e. Cognitive Behavioural Therapies) and social relationships.
•           Requirement to subcontract and manage a local Third Sector organisation to deliver post and pre diagnosis support to service users  including

o          Transitional planning to assist young people’s seamless transfer into the service;
o          Coordination of an Autism Carers Drop-in (to be delivered by either the prime or subcontracted provider)
o          Facilitating service user access into employment and training opportunities through effective guidance and sign posting.

Prospective tenderers must be able to demonstrate a strong track record of partnership working with other local statutory and community voluntary sector organisations, as well as the ability to deliver a service that promotes the well-being of people with ASD as its guiding principle.

The London Borough of Tower Hamlets has a diverse population and prospective providers will have to demonstrate an ability to deliver a sensitive and appropriate service to all communities across the Borough. The Contract also requires the provider(s) to pay the London Living Wage (as a minimum) and offer employment to local people where possible.

The estimated value of the contract is:
 
From £283k to £333k            Per Annum

For a period of: Two years (with an option to extend for a further one year)
