Description

Ashfield District Council is working to establish an initiative in order to deliver measures to reduce fuel poverty across the district to the 31st December 2012. The Council is seeking to identify a Scheme Manager who can access CERT funding to maximise the programme.

We aim to provide a proactive area based approach to tackling fuel poverty, through a systematic door-to-door assessment process. This is central to identifying households in need whilst developing the most appropriate package of measures. Further income maximisation will be central to the project, enabling the factors causing fuel poverty to be tackled, along with an increase in the take up of energy efficiency grants, both of will which have a positive impact on health.
