Durham University is seeking to appoint a suitable contractor to carry out an effective inspection, testing, maintenance and breakdown repair service which meets the requirements of the F Gas regulations. The contract will cover a range of air conditioning systems including; standard a/c plant, chilled water systems, VRV and other systems under the ownership and control of the University to ensure appliances are operating safely, efficiently and in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations, the appropriate standards and any related aspects of regulatory compliance. Although not exhaustive the equipment schedule broadly consists of:
— approximately 400 air condition systems of various types approximately 20 chilled water systems,
— approximately 10 packaged air handling heating/cooling systems.
The contract will commence on the 1.8.2012 and operate for a 4 year period.

Precise information on deadline(s) for lodging appeals: This authority will incorporate a minimum 10 calendar day standstill period at the point information on the award of the contract is communicated to tenderers. The communication will be in the form of a letter which will be issued electronically. The letter will provide a full debrief and contact details should a tenderer wish to appeal the decision. If an appeal regarding the award of a contract has not been successfully resolved the Public Contracts Regulations 2006 (SI 2006 No 5) provide for aggrieved parties who have been harmed or are at risk of harm by a breach of the rules to take action in the High Court (England, Wales and Northern Ireland).
