Description
Section 82 of the Environment Act 1995 provides that every local authority shall review the air quality within its area, both at the present time and the likely future air quality. In order to evaluate the effectiveness of the actions outlined Cleaner Air for Cornwall Strategy and to effectively monitor potential sites where air quality may be an issue in the future Cornwall Council needs to continue to monitor Air Quality in it’s area with the use of diffusion tubes. This is a three year contract to provide and analyse 2,496 nitrogen dioxide (NO2) Palmes-type diffusion tubes per year which shall be delivered as 208 diffusion tubes per month. Extra tubes may be requested for further monitoring as required.
