The City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council is seeking quotations from providers who can take on the role and function of Appointeeships for people with Learning Disabilities. Approximately 50 service users, currently supported in our residential and supported living services, require an independent Appointeeship to act on their behalf to ensure they are supported to access benefits and manage their finances. The provider must have knowledge and experience of working with people with Learning Disabilities. Any potential new provider will be expected to work with people with Learning disabilities and their support networks to carry out the following functions: 1. Claim benefits 2. Complete and sign any claim forms 3. Receive any benefit payments 4. Report any change in clients circumstances 5. Pay any relevant expenses due to pay e.g. direct debit etc. 6. Report any changes in circumstances required by the DWP.
