Wealden District Council are looking to select one or two suitably qualified contractors for a 5 year contract (plus optional 2 year extension) to carry out statutory and cyclical planned works and servicing to mechanical and electrical services, together with reactive and planned works to electrical and mechanical services (up to 5 000 GBP and 25 000 GBP respectively) at known rates and to specified time-scales and standards.
The Council is looking to adopt a simplified process for carrying out reactive and planned works up to 25 000 GBP for both housing and general fund land and properties.
A single tender to be issued allowing companies to tender for either or both disciplines to achieve best value for money and encourage maximum response.
Formal arrangements in place for statutory inspections to ensure legal compliance and established cyclical programme to minimise breakdown of equipment.
A single tender has been prepared covering both electrical and mechanical services; contractors can select either trade or both to tender for. WDC will select one or two contractors dependant upon responses received.
This has been done to accommodate the overlap between these trades and achieve maximum interest in tendering for the works.
Included are inspection, servicing and cyclical works required to meet statutory requirements and maintain electrical and mechanical services in general fund land and properties.
Included are mechanical and electrical works up to 25 000 GBP for general fund land and properties.
