Full Service Creative Agency — 600 000 GBP
Graphic Design Specialist Partner — 340 000 GBP
For the purpose of this tender award and any subsequent services which may be connected with the original award we reserve the right to spend a further 40 % of the anticipated spend for University of Sunderland and all organisations listed above.
We are seeking partner companies who can help the University of Sunderland promote our ‘life-changing’ brand and communicate our vision and values to a global audience in a highly competitive and regulated market.
The appointed companies will partner with the University to provide creative solutions to help the University recruit students, further awareness and understanding our brand and to work across a number of sub-brands and interests.
Details of expenditure or potential future uptake are given in good faith as a guide to assist you in submitting your tender. This should not be interpreted as an undertaking or guarantee to purchase any goods or services to any particular value and do not form part of the Contract.

Lot No: 1 Lot title: Full Service Creative Agency
1)Short description
The appointed agency will partner with the University to provide creative solutions to market the University regionally, nationally and globally across the full range of media channels — TV, cinema, radio, out of home, press, and a variety of digital channels as appropriate.
The agency would also be expected to produce the University’s branded print publications such as our undergraduate prospectus. A proven track record of providing creative design solutions that demonstrate a return on investment is required.
The successful agency would be required to work closely with the University’s appointed media buying/strategic planning agency.
We envisage that 5 suppliers will be invited to tender to the 2nd phase of the tender.
This company will work primarily with Marketing and Recruitment but may work directly with other Services or enterprises. They will lead on the University’s student recruitment branding positioning and be expected to provide the following:
— Creative branding, design and artwork for all University’s major advertising campaigns (including undergraduate including late applicants, postgraduate, and clearing)
— Create engaging and impactful University prospectuses and other student recruitment publications and associated material
— Marketing advice and creative solutions for our major CRM campaigns
— Advice on data capture, campaign measurement and personalisation
— Collaboration with our nominated media buying/strategic planning agency agree media channels and tactics
— Digital marketing and advertising advice, expertise and creative
— Creative solutions for University sub-brands if required
— General support for any other marketing-related projects.

— Proven and compelling evidence of creativity in the production of printed material (including volume brochures, magazines etc).
— A broad spectrum of marketing advice and an understanding of measuring impact and ROI.
— A proven track record of applying branded design to digital platforms and applications.
— A strong understanding of producing publications and communications for corporate audiences
If required, the successful company would work with the University’s nominated media buying/strategic planning partner. We envisage that 5 suppliers will be invited to the 2nd phase of this process.
