Description of the contract

The Project Manager shall act as the Project Manager under the NEC 3 Engineering and Construction Contract Option A and provide all services appropriate to its agreed role, expertise and responsibilities including:- The Project Management scope of work will include: – Support in the tender exercise for the main contractor and have an active involvement in a Procurement Industry Day – Full responsibility for the contract administration under NEC 3 of the works – Responsibility for setting up, maintaining a document sharing system to be accessible for all project stakeholders with appropriate security levels; – Responsibility for the archiving of all documentation electronically and provision of this documentation to MRC at completion of the project; – Coordination, engagement and management of all relevant interfaces (TRUST, ICL, MRC, specialist contractors, etc. – Trust &/or IC engagement particularly on specifications of materials and all other landlord requirements – Transfer of planning application to MRC and liaison with Trust and other site partners if required to ensure project complies with all conditions – The Project Manager will be responsible for the risk management an regular reporting on top risks to the project board; – Liaison with the transition project in particular in the effort to vacate the building – Manage clearance certifications in close communication with and supported by the CDM C – Arranging and chairing regular progress meetings with the contractor – Coordination and liaison between the project stakeholders including statutory or regulatory bodies; – Reviewing, updating and maintaining project plan, including the submission of project closure plan (after completion of project stage) and gaining approval of project plan for new stage from project board; – Develop and manage the project program; – progress reporting to the project board in an agreed format – provide weekly forecasts of the work to be carried out to and liaise with the Trust and other key stakeholders; – reviewing and monitoring Method Statements provided by the various contractors; – Overseeing all work activities in relation to coordination and quality of work. – Management of formal handover of areas to contractor and certification of completion of work in close cooperation with the Cost consultant;
