Thank you for your interest in working with Rochdale Metropolitan Borough Council (RMBC) to help develop and shape a responsive and diverse market for personalisation.   Following on from the Department of Health’s White Paper and the Local Authority Circular “Transforming Social Care”, with it’s emphasis on establishing personal budgets and the move towards choice and control being held by service users, the Council is seeking service providers who recognise this shifting emphasis and the requirement for increased flexibility and responsiveness for services which are commissioned by and with the Council Rochdale Metropolitan Borough Council are keen to receive applications from  Providers who are innovative, have a flexibility of attitude,  are person centred in responding to needs, have keen financial acumen and have enthusiasm and commitment in meeting the challenges for the future. Importantly, providers need to be able to offer quality services at Best Value.   The purpose of this questionnaire is to assist RMBC in developing an Approved Provider List for the service provision outlined in the attached documentation.   It is intended that the list will be used:-   To allocate new business for Older People’s services where RMBC is commissioning the work (although RMBC reserve the right to tender outside this list where needed) To allocate business where people have chosen to have a Managed Budget To arrange emergency placements To communicate a list of providers to clients choosing a Cash Budget (because RMBC will not be the commissioners, RMBC will issue a disclaimer on the use of the Approved Provider List).
