The contract will initially be for a period of 5 years commencing on April 2020 with the option to extend the contract for a further 2 years, in 12-monthly intervals, at the discretion of the Council.

Sutton Council currently contracts with a diverse group of voluntary, statutory and private sector providers and encourages a range of organisations, regardless of size, to apply for this provision.

A selection questionnaire is available on this portal which the Council shall evaluate to identify the shortlisted supplies to be invited to tender.

The Council shall not be bound to accept the lowest cost or any tender.

The award of contract shall be based on the most economically advantageous tender submitted.

II.2.4)Description of the procurement:

The London Borough of Sutton is an outer London borough on the Surrey (South West) border between the Boroughs of Croydon and Kingston and has a population of over 180 000.

The Borough is suburban and lies between the green belt and more urbanised areas. There are a wide variety of tree species in varied locations including highways, verges, parks, woodlands, educational establishments.

The London Borough of Sutton (Sutton Council) is seeking interest from suitably qualified organisations for the provision of a contract for the maintenance of Council owned trees.
