Stratton Education Trust is seeking to appoint a comprehensive design consultant to include architectural, structural engineering, mechanical and electrical, landscape architecture and quantity surveying services, experienced in the education sector, to develop the outline concept design for the development of additional and improved facilities for the school which are to be well-designed, inclusive and built to last. The development must comply with current statutory requirements and the standards and recommendations set out in Building Bulletin 98 (BB98) Briefing Framework for Secondary School projects and other relevant building bulletins.
The contract will include for extensive liaison and consultation with statutory authorities, the local community and amenity groups, development of the concept design, submission of the scheme for planning approval and taking the design up to and including Stage 3 – Developed Design of the RIBA Plan of Work 2013 including satisfying all the Core Objectives for a one-stage design and build contract. It is intended that the Employer’s Agent and CDM Co-ordinator will be the subject of separate appointments. Currently the estimated construction cost of the project is in the range of 15 to 20 m GBP.
