The appointment of an architectural practice to design a new 15 to 20,000 m² campus on the Avon Nunn Mills site in Northampton; The buildings will accommodate a range of spaces to support the learning, teaching, administrative and social needs of the University, it is expected that the successful architect will work with the current Architect, Briefing Team and Masterplan Architect, in addition to the wider design team to define the brief for individual buildings and develop proposals that coordinate with the wider campus proposals.

Accelerated restricted
Justification for the choice of accelerated procedure: The accelerated restricted procedure is being undertaken as there is an urgent requirement to appoint a second architect for this project, to work alongside the existing architect, and in order for the project to progress. The standard procurement timescales would be impractical for the purpose of making this second appointment as the project is already underway and a second architect is needed as soon as possible to allow the project to progress and meet the project completion date.

Precise information on deadline(s) for lodging appeals: The Contracting Authority will incorporate a standstill period at the point information on the award of the contract is communicated to tenderers. That notification will provide full information on the award decision. The standstill period, which will be for a minimum of 10 calendar days, provides time for unsuccessful tenderers to challenge the award decision before the contract is entered into.
