The University of Glasgow has a requirement for Asbestos Surveying Sampling and Analytical Services and wishes to engage a suitably qualified and experienced Accredited Consultants to undertake Asbestos Surveying Sampling and Analytical Services using best practice and overall value for money principles.

The successful Contractors must be willing to play an active and effective role in understanding the needs and requirements of a large and complex building stock and will be expected to support the University through the delivery of a comprehensive and demanding package of services. All requirements are mandatory unless otherwise stated. Inability to meet mandatory requirements will result in exclusion from the tender exercise.

The University has a population of over 24,000 students and 6,130 staff. University activity is primarily spread over two main campuses in Glasgow, at Gilmorehill, and Garscube. In addition further accommodation is provided at West of Scotland Science Park, SUREC Scottish Enterprise Technology Park East Kilbride, Rowardenan Loch Lomond, Cochno Farm and Crichton Campus Dumfries. Student accommodation is provided at various Halls of Residence and a range of flats around the west end of the city.
