Description of the goods or services required

The works are for the Removal of all asbestos under the supervision of the asbestos consultant and Demolition / Dismantling of the 1No CLASP storeyed building (Ground Floor / 1st Floor / 2nd Floor / Roof structure including tanked structures) & interconnected single storey Canteen / Office accommodation including chimney & removal from site in a safe approved manner to include:

All concrete paviors / ramps / plinths / underbuilding / foundations to a depth of 1000mm (Or to the extent of foundation level Whichever is the deepest.

Reinstatement of sites with consolidated clean fill with soil finish to existing ground levels.

Grass seeding of entire area.

Estimated total value of the project will be approx £75,000GBP and will be ultimately awarded on a cost/quality basis.

3 Conditions for Participation

3.1

Minimum standards and qualification required

The Highland Council are developing the use of Constructionline Registration as part of their pre qualification requirements for contractors applying for capital property related construction tenders. The initiative intends to avoid repetitive requests for general information at pre qualification stage. However, the Council cannot insist on Constructionline Registration and must allow non registered contractors to be assessed to an equal standard.

5.1

Additional Information

Contractors will be required to complete a pre-qualification questionnaire (PQQ) for this contract. The purpose of the PQQ is to identify a number of suitably qualified and experienced companies who will be invited to submit a tender. The Highland Council will use the information provided in response to the PQQ to determine which organisations are most suited, in the opinion of the Evaluation Panel, in terms of technical knowledge and experience, and organisational and financial standing to submit a tender. Any person wishing to receive PQQ documents should register their interest through this website.
