The British Library (BL) requires specialist asbestos monitoring and analytical services to be carried out at its premises in Colindale, London NW9.
The BL is seeking expressions of interest from a limited number of appropriately qualified and experienced companies to provide these specialist services.
The majority of the work will be specialist monitoring and analysis of the decontamination of collection material (bound volumes of 19th Century newspapers and periodicals) and their storage areas by an Asbestos Removal Contractor (ARC).
Companies selected for the next stage of this procurement will be expected to clearly demonstrate experience of successfully working with a client, client representative(s), and a separately appointed decontamination and cleaning contractor to develop and manage a high performing and cost effective Quality Assurance, Decontamination, Cleaning and Certification process to challenging programme and budget constraints.
