Onward are seeking to appoint single, suitably qualified, accredited and experienced provider to undertake relevant asbestos surveys in various domestic and commercial property settings across Merseyside, Lancashire and Greater Manchester for a period of up to 5 years The total anticipated total value of the contract is GBP 2.92 m. The scope of the contracts are for the provision of the following within the boundaries of each group of properties includes R and D surveys, re-inspections, targeted R and D and management and bulk samples.

Onward Group is one of the largest registered providers of social housing based solely in the North West of England with 35 000 homes across Merseyside, Lancashire, Greater Manchester and Cheshire. Formerly known as Symphony Housing Group, we rebranded to Onward in April 2017 and now operate as a single organisation under one common board. Onward’s housing stock is managed as three regions: Greater Manchester, Merseyside and Lancashire. Each region is further divided in to a number of neighbourhoods, reflecting local boundaries. Onward is a not-for-profit organisation, committed to the regeneration and sustainability of the North West region, with a primary focus on making a positive difference in the communities we serve. Onward wishes to appoint a sole provider who will have the experience and capability to undertake relevant asbestos surveys across the group for all three regions, as expressed in these tender documents. This will allow Onward to meet it’s compliance responsibilities in accordance with asbestos management. The provider is required to provide:
— R&D surveys
— re-inspections
— targeted R&D and management
— bulk samples
— air testing.

The contract is eligible for two (2) one (1) year extension periods depending on satisfactory performance during the initial term.

Onward reserves the right not to award and/or to abandon this procurement at any time and/or to award part of the services at its sole discretion. Onward have no liability whatsoever to any tenderer as a result of its exercise of that of that discretion. All costs incurred by the tenderer before signature of any contract with Onward shall be incurred entirely at the tenderer’s risk.
