Norfolk County Council Children’s Services is reviewing the way it purchases assessments and expert reports within its social work teams. We are considering running a procurement process to create a select list of providers of these services.
Services potentially in scope include extended community based risk assessments, community based assessments, forensic risk assessments, pre-birth assessments, section 7 and 37 reports, special guardianship reports, family group conferencing, assessed parental contact, form F reports, regulation and Rule 29 reports, cognitive and psychological assessments, child and psychological assessments and psychiatric assessments.
In order to test the viability of this concept, we wish to consult with interested parties. The aim of this event is to inform you of our intentions and what we hope to achieve, to ensure our ambitions and objectives are achievable, to ascertain what potential providers see as areas of risk and to find out what (if anything) would stop interested parties applying to be on such a list.
