Description of the goods or services required

In May 2012 the Technology Strategy Board confirmed that the Scottish DALLAS bid ‘Living it up’ (LiU) will be one of the 4 communities in the UK funded for implementation. LiU will develop and deliver a digitally enabled, thriving community of opportunities to support better health, wellbeing and active lifestyles in Scotland. It is initially for people over the age of 50, and will be of particular interest to carers, people living with long term health and care conditions.

The project is lead by NHS 24 who will provide the programme management and financial governance. in addition, 5 Local Health and Care Partnership areas (Lothian, Forth Valley, Highland, Moray and Western Isles) will ensure synergies between the programme and local priorities in the areas that LiU will be delivered.

Scottish Enterprise and Highlands and Islands Enterprise have also committed to supporting the LiU, and as an initial stage, Scottish Enterprise will contract with specialist expertise to provide the services of a Network Integrator to support the development and implementation LiU for 1 year with the contract starting the beginning of February 2013.

Suppliers must register interest in this contract opportunity through the Public Contracts Scotland (PCS) procurement portal – www.publiccontractsscotland.gov.uk. The pre-qualification questionnaire (PQQ) documentation is availabe for download from there. Suppliers should submit their completed pre-qualification questionnaires through the secure postbox on Public Contracts Scotland no later than the stated deadline. The post box facility will not accept any submissions after the deadline and it is the responsibility of suppliers to ensure submissions are received before the deadline.
