Description of the goods or services required

This Contract is for the disposal of abandoned property under the provisions of the Civic Government (Scotland) Act 1982. The Contractor is required to uplift abandoned property from Police Offices six times per year, store items, prepare items into lots, advertise and sell items. The Contractor will also be required to provide valuation of items as and when required.

Total quantity or scope of tender

The contract is for a period of three years from 1 November 2014 – 31 October 2017. For operational and administrative purposes Police Scotland is divided into fourteen territorial Divisions. It should be noted that The Scottish Police Authority Reserves the right to award this Contract in whole or in part and Tenderers are advised that they may submit an offer for whole lots and not part of a lot. This contract will be divided into three lots, the relevant Divisions of Police Scotland and the areas they cover are as follows:
