To develop and deliver innovative multimedia interpretation that celebrates the natural and historic environment for visitors travelling along Scotland’s main rail routes.

To produce interesting, evocative information and interpretation on nature, landscapes and history for visitors travelling by train through development and delivery of a series of mp3 audio guides, associated app and leaflet.

It is anticipated the project will cover four of the main rail routes in Scotland. For each route, we anticipate producing approximately 8 – 12 standalone stories, downloadable as a tour or individually. These will be based on a well-researched script, and include interview snippets with experts and enthusiasts, oral reminiscences, archive sound recordings and sound effects. The production of a simple App, including the audio recording, a map and relevant images, and a leaflet. All outputs will be available to download from the project page on the SNH website.

Please note that this is not an Invitation To Tender (ITT). To be considered for this contract opportunity, you must note your interest on the Public Contracts Scotland portal – www.publiccontractsscotland.gov.uk – and submit a completed Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ) to becky.shaw@snh.gov.uk by the stated deadline of 12noon on 18 July 2012.

All PQQs will be assessed, and short-listed suppliers will be invited to submit a competitive tender via the portal. Suppliers who submit a PQQ but are not short-listed will be notified by email.

Any additional documents available at this stage will be attached to this Contract Notice along with the blank PQQ.

The ITT will be issued via the portal, and tender submissions must also be submitted via the portal.
