Audio-visual equipment. Repair and maintenance services of audio-visual and optical equipment. Interactive voice response software package. Interactive voice response software development services. Interactive Television. Graphics software package. IT software package. IT software development services. Expressions of interest are requested from suitably qualified and experienced contractors for the provision of the Audio Visual and Interactive Computer Software production services to the value of c£190,000 as part of the project to redevelop Colchester Castle, which is supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund and the European Regional Development Fund.
The Audio Visual and Interactive Computer Software production services will include the following:
— Developing exhibit concepts,
— Shooting and editing footage,
— Creating on-screen graphics,
— Production of BSL and subtitles,
— Liaising with other contractors,
— Encoding and installing AV and Interactive Computer software.
Expressions of interest should be received no later than Friday 7th December. It is anticipated that Pre Qualification Questionnaire’s will be sent out to contractors on Friday 7th December 2012 for return by 12:00 hours on Thursday17th January. Estimated contract period to be June 2013 to January 2014.
Contractors are to note that Colchester Castle is a Scheduled Ancient Monument.

Information and formalities necessary for evaluating if the requirements are met: The Authority will apply all the offences listed in Article 45(1) of Directive 2004/18/EC (implemented as Regulation 23(1) of the Public Contract Regulations (PCR) 2006 in the UK) and all of the professional misconducts listed at Article 45(2) of Directive 2004/18/EC (see also Regulation 23(2) in the PCR 2006) to the decision of whether a Candidate is eligible to be invited to tender.

The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement, and the contract will be awarded on the basis of the most economically advantageous tender.
The PQQ’s will not be issued until the 7th December 2012, with a document return date of 12:00 on Thursday 17.1.2013. Shortlisted suppliers will then be issued the tender documents with a provisional contract start date of June 2013 GO Reference: GO-2012117-PRO-4370919.
