Heathrow welcomes approximately 70 mppa to its airport. There are currently in excess of 120 passenger security screening lanes within Terminals 1, 3, 4 and 5. Terminal 2 will have capacity for 20mppa. The new Terminal will require a minimum of 29 security lane systems to be installed.
Key elements of the overall scope for the works comprise design, supply, installation, commissioning, testing, support and maintenance of security screening lanes. Typical system configuration is shown in the attached PQQ Guidance document and will include for the following key elements: divestment area [1]; bag reject system [2]; bag search capability [3]; and reconciliation and tray return system [4].

Range: between 10 000 000,00 and 25 000 000,00 GBP
Description of these options: Initial contract duration will be 5 years. There is an option to extend a further two years, giving a total duration of 7 years. This will be dependant on the performance of the contractor against criteria set out in the ITT and Contract.
