Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council (BMBC) are seeking to appoint suitably qualified and experienced companies to manage the reprocessing and recycling of paper, card and mixed recyclates. For the purpose of this tender, mixed recyclates refers to the co-mingled collection of glass, cans and plastic bottles.

The authority will incorporate a minimum 10 calendar day standstill period at the point that the information on the award of the contract is communicated to tenderers. If an appeal regarding the award of the contract has not been successfully resolved then the Public Procurement Contract Regulations 2015 provide for aggrieved parties who have been harmed or are at risk of being harmed by a breach of rules to take action in the High Court (England, Wales and Northern Ireland). Any such action must be brought within 3 months generally.
