Stockport MBC and Rochdale Council wish to invite providers to express their interest for the delivery of a National Standard Cycle Training Scheme to Level 1 & 2. Tameside Council and Trafford Council may join at a later stage of this procurement. Requirements. Contractor to deliver combined L1/L2 Bikeability training for the period April 2020 – March 2023.The value of the contract for the periods 2021/2022 & 2022/2023 is subject to grant funding from the Department for Transport. The Contractor must have the capacity to take on this contract The contractor must be able to deliver the training within the given timescales. All Children must wear a helmet. The Contractor will provide a helmet to Children who cannot provide their own Bikeability badges and certificates must be issued to all Children who complete the training. The Contractor will supply these materials. In addition the Contractor may supply Bikeability booklets All training sessions must be led by a fully qualified National Standard Training Instructor All trainers must have Disclosure and Barring Service clearance (formerly CRB & ISA) The Contractor will promote the scheme within each School to ensure maximum participation. The proposed date for advertising this opportunity is 18th November 2019. Further information about the service will be provided within the tender documents.
