Rochdale and Stockport Councils are tendering for the delivery of bikeability combined Level 1/2 training.
The scheme requires delivery of training for the period 1.4.2020 to 31.3.2023. Grant funding for 2020/2021 has been confirmed by the DfT. Funding for 2021/2022 and 2022/2023 is subject to DfT announcements.
For Level 1 training it is preferable for there to be at least 2 instructors. However, given that Level 1 takes place on school premises discretion applies and as long as the training ratio is observed a single Instructor may take a Level 1 session.
For all Level 2 training there must be a minimum of 2 instructors per course. For safeguarding and health and safety reasons no instructor is to take a course alone.
