Description of the contract

Gwynedd Council has set itself an ambitious project of reducing its carbon emissions 60% by 2021 within its Carbon Management Plan. To meet its overall targets Gwynedd Council has identified significant potential CO2 savings through the utilisation of Biomass technology.

Gwynedd Council established its Biomass project to facilitate the development of a sustainable supply chain and infrastructure to ensure security of supply for its future needs as the Authority begins the conversion of its buildings boilers into Biomass

The purpose of this commission is to conduct a comprehensive feasibility study and business planning exercise into the establishment of a sustainable Biomass Supply Chain, detailing steps and methodolgy required to coordinate activities, develop the necessary infrastructure and establish a sustainable supply chain to meet the established and developing need.
