Blackpool Council, Public Health Department wishes to enter into exploratory dialogue with prospective service providers that have the capability and experience in delivering structured, evidence-based very brief interventions through to high intensity behaviour change interventions training programmes to tackle the wide range of additions across the Blackpool population. The aim of brief intervention is to support the local population to adopt healthy behaviours that have the potential to improve their own health and quality of life.  ‘Making every contact count’ is a region wide programme to ensure the workforce serving individuals and communities are competent and confident to make the most of opportunities to improve population health and wellbeing.  The aim of each contact is to offer appropriate advice, interventions and/or signpost to local services using strength based approaches that value capacity, skills knowledge, connections and potential in individuals and their communities.
