Description of the contract
Board Development Programme Kent community Health NHS Trust wants to appoint an appropriately experienced provider to support us in the development and implementation of specific elements of our Board Development programme from April 2012 and are requesting expressions of interest. The Trust is a new Trust with a new Board and is currently on a journey towards achieving Foundation Trust status in the summer of 2013. The overarching aim of the Board Development Programme is to ensure that the new Board quickly develops into an effective, highly performing Board. The programme must be aligned to our organisational aspirations and focus specifically on: • Developing an effective board proficient in skills around areas such as team working, collective decision making, and providing robust but supportive challenge alongside individual Board member development. • Whole Board and individual Board member development with the aim of ensuring that individuals feel able to take on the responsibilities associated with being a Board member • Creating an environment which enables appropriate debate and challenge to be heard which will improve the quality of decision making. Expressions of interest will close on Wednesday 14th March 2012 and the Trust reserves the right to restrict the number of companies responding to this opportunity to 10 companies. These 10 companies will be the first 10 companies that respond to this opportunity. From these 10 companies the Trust will take forward the most suitable to presentation. The process for selection will be detailed in the documents released to companies. The evaluation criteria will be 50% finance and 50% quality The spend is anticipated to be no more than £30,000 for the whole project. The spend for the two parts is estimated to be no more than £30,000. Phase 1 needs to be completed by late April/early May with the other modules commencing June to December. Bidders must be able to adhere to these timescales failure to do so with lead to disqualification from this procurement process.
