Description of the goods or services requiredGlasgow Caledonian University and GCU London would like to commission the services of a brand/design agency to: – Develop the GCU brand proposition (building on work and thinking to date – see attached draft versions of brand model) – Develop the GCU brand architecture and guidelines – Finalise thinking regarding the articulation of the GCU brand The Higher Education marketplace is increasingly competitive, particularly in Glasgow and central London, where GCU has campuses. Increasingly, competitors have a clearly positioned and well articulated brand. GCU wishes to position itself effectively within this marketplace, with a well-developed brand proposition that is consistent across all marketing communications and across all facets and functions of the University. In doing so, the University seeks to attract additional undergraduate, postgraduate, part-time and international students to study at the university, promote strong messages about niche areas and global/professional links and engage effectively with stakeholders. Key markets and stakeholders for brand engagement include prospective and current students (undergraduate, postgraduate, part-time, international), businesses and industry, public sector organisations, local government, staff and alumni. Key geographic markets for development are the rest of the UK and overseas markets – including China and India.
