The College is grant maintained and specialises in providing top quality education to mainly 16-18 year olds but offers a wide range of full and part-time courses from entry to degree level, bespoke employer programmes and is the largest trainer of apprentices in Buckinghamshire.
The College has a student population of 3,805 split: 1 640 full-time 16-18 year olds, 1 568 adults, 526 work-based students enrolled on Apprenticeship programmes and 71 on Foundation Degree courses.
The contract size is approximately 25 000 square metres: 20 000 square metres of existing property, comprising Main College, Nursery, Pre-school and SureStart Centre; Independant Living and Training Centre (ILTC 300 SQ M) due to open January 2013; and 5 000 square metres of the new UTC building, which is planned to open in September 2013. A detailed breakdown of the areas will be given in the ITT.
The successful contractor will cover all employees working on the premises with the appropriate insurances and compliance with the appropriate legislation.
The successful contractor will provide all the necessary labour, materials, consumables and equipment for the proper execution of work specified.
Cleaning materials and equipment will be supplied by the appointed contractor.
