– ‘External’ Construction and Design Management (‘CDM’) Coordinator (Lot 3)

It is not possible to predict the number of projects ‘which will be undertaken as part of the partnership however the total value likely to be undertaken in the four years of the partnership is estimated to be in the region of £30 – £60 million. It should be noted that the Council will decide which of it’s capital schemes will be put through the partnership as decisions on procurement routes are dependant upon client departments instructions and requirements.
The fees to be paid to the consultants in Lots 2, 3 and 4, will be based on the above total project values and will be banded according to the value of each project as follows:
– £0- £500,000,
– £500,001 to £1,000,000,
– £100,0001 to £5,000,000
– £5,000,001 and over

1)Short description

The successful constructor will be responsible for the construction of all projects within the partnership and will be expected to to give early advice on such things as buildability, site set-up and other associated activities to enable the successful completion of each scheme. The Construcor will be expected to be an integral member of the partnering team.

The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for all necessary cost input activities from inception to completion of projects in relation to feasibility estimates, valuations, final accounts and other financial related activities to enable successful completion of projects. The Quantity Surveyor will be expected to be an integral member of the partnering team.

Brighton & Hove City Council will be acting as the lead for the procurement of this framework agreement and will be the lead authority in this tender process. Brighton and Hove City Council wishes to receive completed pre-qualification questionnaires from organisations wishing to be invited to tender for the provision of the tender requirements. The concluded framework agreement will be open for use by the following specified authority, Sussex Police.
Bidders should note that a framework agreement does not guarantee any volume or value of work to a service provider and the values provided are purely indicative, estimated, and dependent upon the take up of the framework agreement by all the organisations named in this notice.
Bidders should note that none of the organisations named in this notice shall be under any obligation to use the framework agreement.

Precise information on deadline(s) for lodging appeals: The council will incorporate a 10 day standstill period at the point of notification of award of the Framework Agreement to bidders.
