II.2.1)Total quantity or scope:

The Company has a requirement for various project works relating to buildings within the Port estate. The Contractor will be expected to play an active and positive role as a member of the project team, who has the ability to adapt to events as they occur, and who will take responsibility for the efficient design, management, control and prompt completion of all the works in a cost effective manner. The Agreement comprises a comprehensive range of work types covering the requirements of Project activity and minor alterations and improvement works at the Port.
Routine, non-emergency, work will be undertaken during normal daytime working hours, 07:30-17:00 hours, Monday to Friday. However, emergency works may be required outside normal daytime shifts, and in addition, weekend, night time and bank holiday working may be required as and when directed by the Company’s representative in order to accommodate the Company’s operational needs and restrictions. The Port is operational 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year, and as such possession periods, or windows of opportunity, for undertaking works in certain areas may be limited. The Company cannot guarantee the level of building Project works that may be required.
