University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust are calling for Expressions of Interest from suitably experienced and qualified service providers who wish to participate in the procurement for the provision of a new Institute of Transitional Medicine within the existing University Hospital Birmingham North Block (Ground, First, Second, Fourth and Fifth floors) and West Block (Ground Floor). The Institute will include a clinical trial facility providing: facilities for clinicians, trialists, health economists, translational scientists and research staff; to meet patients; A hub for SMEs, pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device firms to base themselves and engage with clinicians, academics and professional support teams; Offices, meeting rooms, networking spaces and a café; A purpose built laboratory accommodation to provide capacity around diagnostics and genomics, pharmacy, development of early targets, small molecules, devices and technologies; A dedicated pharmacy facility.
Interested Providers should note that the Trust is following a restricted procurement procedure which will not be Lot based.
The new contract will commence for a period of 13 months.
