The purpose of this Notice is to seek to appoint an Integrated, multidisciplinary Design Team under the direction of a Lead Design Consultant and Principal Designer, for the Major refurbishment within the Westminster area which comprises the refurbishment of existing facilities to provide decant accommodation space for Houses of Parliament staff with a service life of 20 years. The design shall be developed using Revit 3D. The final scope of the project is subject to final agreement of a feasibility option. An initial appointment will be to Stage C/D. Delivery of further stages remains subject to business case approval. The project value is likely to be within the 40 000 000 GBP-100 000 000 GBP range with an associated professional fee value range between 6 000 000 GBP and 25 000 000 GBP.
The existing building was built in the first quarter of last century but is not listed. The building comprises multiple above ground storeys and a single storey basement. The gross floor area is 15,600 m². The corresponding Net floor area is approx. 13,300 m².
