Sheffield City Council is inviting bids from qualified provider(s) to cover statutory servicing, repairs and maintenance for the Authorities corporate buildings (domestic households not covered). The works will include any of the following types of services:
– Provision of a 24 hour/7 days a week/365 days a year service responding to emergencies;
– Completion of all repairs and maintenance to the corporate estate and support Sheffield City Council in the delivery of a traded service to 3rd party organisations such as schools;
– Undertaking all Statutory Servicing and Risk Assessments to the Corporate and Civic Estate and support Sheffield City Council in the delivery of a traded service to 3rd party organisations such as schools;
– Delivery of Minor Works schemes up to a value of GBP 100 k.
The annual expenditure is in the region of GBP 6,000000 (but this cannot be guaranteed in any one year during the term of this contract). A breakdown of the spend will be provided to shortlisted suppliers within the tender documents. The contract will be awarded initially for a period of 2 years, with an option to extend at the sole discretion of SCC for a further 3 years (1+1+1) but this will be reviewed on a year by year basis.
Tenderers should be aware that although the contracting authority for the purposes of this procurement is Sheffield City Council, the concluded contract will be open to the 22 Local Authorities or public sector organisations within the Yorkshire/Humber Region who may choose to access the concluded contract subject to the capacity of the tenderer, without creating any obligation on behalf of any of them to do so. A notional value of GBP 2,000000 per annum with no guarantee or commitment of expenditure is provided for in this potential opportunity.

The closing date for expressions of interest is noon on the 29.5.2013. The PQQ will be available on the YORtender system ref: YORE-967F2N from 12:00 noon on 22.4.2013.
Under this procurement the contractor is required to participate actively in the economic and social regeneration of the locality of and surrounding the place of delivery for the procurement or community served by the contracting authority.
