Description of the goods or services required

Suppliers must register interest in this contract opportunity through the Public Contracts Scotland (PCS) procurement portal – www.publiccontractsscotland.gov.uk. The Invitation to Tender documentation is availabe for download from there. Suppliers should submit their completed Tender through the secure postbox on Public Contracts Scotland no later than the stated deadline. The post box facility will not accept any submissions after the deadline and it is the responsibility of suppliers to ensure submissions are received before the deadline.

Scottish Enterprise (SE) and Scottish Development International (SDI) is seeking to procure licences to access and use a professional business social media network to help it identify, reach and engage contacts within Global businesses for the purposes of marketing Scotland as an attractive location for inward Investment and international trade. In addition the system will also be used to identify, contact and engage business leaders within Scotland for the purposes of the promotion of SE and SDI’s services to promote globally competitive companies and sectors.

Its is anticipated that the services procured will provide for the licensing of a system of web based software and tools for use by SE and SDI staff, with user accounts administered centrally by a nominated system administrator, with the capability for the production of user information reports and analytic tools.

It is anticipated that the contract will commence in March 2013 and will be for a 2 year period, after which time, SE and SDI will have the option to extend for a further one year period.
