The Innovation 1st project (ERDF supported project) is to support 450 SMEs throughout the West Midlands with the direct focus being the Wolverhampton to Telford Technology Corridor (WTTC). For the purposes of this tender the beneficiaries must be largely from within the Wolverhampton to Telford Technology Corridor, any companies identified outside of this area must be agreed by the project team before any assistance is undertaken or discussed.
The University of Wolverhampton is seeking a number of technology Consultants who will be able to provide assistance to WTTC based SMEs. The Client”s assistance may require technology based knowledge and/or good contacts within diverse organisations to which the Client may be signposted. Innovation 1st may address diverse Sectors and support will be requested against Lots according to procurement requirements. Innovation 1st provides a minimum of 2 days support to the Client and the ITA will provide them with an Implementation Plan which will include suggested further actions to promote company growth and increase employment options.

1)Short description

The specialist support within Lot A will include the evaluation of current computer and network technologies and the identification of hardware alternatives specific to the organisation. The specialist support will help the beneficiary SMEs to evaluate and plan infrastructure technology using tested methodologies and frameworks for assessing, designing and building a modern, more dynamic infrastructure that aligns with industry best practice to help adopt new technologies
