The confirmed parties to establish this integrated Community Equipment Service are:
— Cambridgeshire County Council (acting as Lead Commissioner for Cambridgeshire)
— Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Clinical Commissioning Group
— Peterborough City Council (acting as Lead Commissioner for Peterborough)
Hereafter referred to as ‘the Authorities’.
The Authorities invite bids from Providers to establish an Integrated community equipment service for the people in the geographical area of Cambridgeshire County Council and Peterborough Unitary Authority with a single point of access for health and social care professionals, patients, service users and carers with one community equipment catalogue providing consistency of service delivery.
The Authorities are seeking tenders from operators, who are able to demonstrate both a sound financial basis and are able to demonstrate technical compentency.
Community equipment enables children, young people, adults and older people, who require assistance to perform essential activities of daily living to maintain their health and independence and to live as full a life as possible.
The types of Community equipment will include:
Equipment for daily Living.
Equipment for nursing needs at home.
Pressure relieving equipment.
Moving and handling equipment.
Assistive technology.
Minor adaptations.
Mobility aids.
Children’s equipment and
equipment maintenance.
